The Art Of Stab

Someone has taken their love of Stab one step too far.

Several weeks ago we showed you some bizarro Ghostface art as tweeted by David Arquette. Interest has been very high on these, and we now see they were only the tip of the iceberg. Here are the full 27 set of pictures that seller Hyaena Gallery are calling “the art of Stab” and confirmed as featured in Scream 4.

Some are painted, some are drawn. Some are framed, some are not. Hyaena Gallery “are offering a presale on the artwork which, unless it is needed for additional shooting, will be available by November 2010.” As expected, the prices on some are quite high, but balanced off by others – the line drawings in particular are as cheap as $20-$30.

As for their usage in Scream 4, our customary speculation: while varying stylistically the pieces share a common thread of intentional tackiness, almost like student artwork. Scream-Trilogy submits to you that these will be hung up in the lair of a very obsessed individual who’s either a red herring… or a killer.

You can visit the artwork & pricing page and watch as the available pieces are picked off by collectors – one by one!

Reader Advisory: Comments may contain SCREAM 4 SPOILERS
  1. pictures 11 and 12 are my fav. The way eleven is painted makes the texture of the mask seem to pop out. Number 12 reminds me of my fav angle to see Ghostface shot from. Plus the background colours reminds me of the oringinal scream painting that inspired the mask (I believe though not entirely sure). Some definately cool paintings

  2. I know it’s a BIG long shot but do you think picture 10 with the nudie woman is foreshadowing the identity of one of the killers?

Lol, I’m bored and in a speculative mood :P

  3. Im gonna say no to the above poster. These painting were done by several different artists, and I find it unlikely that any of them were told if the killer was male or female. They are being way to secret about the ending to do something like that.

  4. a lot of these were in stabathon

  5. I want one!

  6. Nate – I know lol I’m not that stupid :P

But you never know, I mean, they don’t need to tell the artist anything. All they have to do is ask for a nude woman wearing a Ghostface mask.
