Wicked Words (Oct 14)

The message board is back! We had to move servers – what should have been in theory an invisible process for you guys – but in the process a gremlin got in the gears. If you felt a bit in-the-dark during its 2 day hiatus, in future always keep an eye on our Twitter feed in the sidebar, as any relevant info that’s not article-worthy will be listed there.

On the David Arquette & Courteney Cox break-up, we received many emails about this. Plainly, we don’t consider it news. It has absolutely no bearing on the film content of Scream 4 which has already been completed and we don’t like to engage in speculative discussion on celebrity relationships. Not that we think less of those who do, mind you.

About a week left till Spike TV Scream Awards! We all know by now the first footage of Scream 4 will be shown there but what will it be? Many are quick to say ‘teaser trailer’ with no proof to go by. If similar past premieres are anything to go by, it’ll be a singular scene. But whatever it is, you can bet your sweet apples that footage will be blasted over our front page as soon as it becomes available.

To those that thought us exploitative for posting screencaps of Emma Roberts almost nekkid in one of her latest movies: A) we will never apologize for appreciating the female form, B) they were only pictures from a movie, a movie we did advise visitors to seek out to view the context if they liked what they saw, and C) where are the calls of exploitation now that many despicable websites this week are using said images to claim they’re from Scream 4? When there is no new news, the news will be invented…

Oh, hey! Do you want to write for Scream-Trilogy? We’re burying this in this boring post so only the most hardened fans of the website will catch it. We’ve been rapidly expanding as a website and it would benefit our readers to be able to experience more opinions and personalities than that #$&^% wicked-scribe guy, so if you’d like to be one of the very few let into our inner sanctum, shoot an email. Note: you must have blogging or web-writing experience, and we’ll expect a link or links to check you out, and we’ll need an idea of your personality and realistic availability. Oh, and the fine print: there’s going to be little to no Scream news in the next few months so you’ll be writing retrospective articles on various aspects of the series of your own choosing, and we’ll need a solid idea of what you plan to write about as well. Prospective new scribes need to address all the above criteria to be considered.
