Scream 4: Dispatches From Michigan

Michigan continues to be cold and unrelenting – not a cozy place for Wes Craven to be ploughing through Scream 4‘s Additional Photography, but he surely mustn’t be too phased by the guerilla factors of filmmaking by now, having began his directorial career with Last House On The Left in 1972, which coincidentally hit blu-ray yesterday exclusively in Best Buy stores.

The director sent through this photo to his followers, captioned “Problem: Temperature 17. Solution: Butane heating of blood.”

Wes Craven himself remains the most interesting source of Scream 4 updates. Craven on Twitter: wescraven

Aimee Teegarden also recently tweeted her presence at the reshoot, and confirmed Britt Robertson attended but has since finished, narrowly finishing before the snowstorm. Aimee on Twitter: Aimeeteegarden

Reader Advisory: Comments may contain SCREAM 4 SPOILERS
  1. The re shoots are getting more and more interesting. I can’t wait until scream 4 is in theaters.

  2. It’s getting close to the end with the reshoots and williamson still hasn’t commented on anything. I wonder if he’s even going to promote the movie. Hell I just want his side of the story. All I’m asking for is a little fucking diane sawyer!

  3. hahaha….love that last line Nick T. Great quote!!! lol bring on the 15th baby! And KW…..come on man….get a life! Be happy with the fans.

  4. It seems as if the reports of simply adding extra terror and suspense to the movie was accurate. I guess they are simply extending a few of the murders or attack scenes by a few minutes based on accounts from the test screening.

When an author writes a book, the draft is edited, honed and polished. I’d expect nothing less from a filmmaker and his film.

  5. All these reshoots seem to involve brutal murders.

  6. The fact that they seem to be upping the gore in reshoots – not taking it away – only adds to the mounting evidence that Scream 4 is going to be freakin’ amazing.
