Neve Campbell on Scream 5 & Patrick Dempsey

Neve Campbell has been doing the interview rounds for her role in the new TV Movie An Amish Murder. Expectedly, she was asked about Scream 5. Expect variations of the same answer. But Collider did go the extra mile by asking her about her reunion with Patrick “Kincaid” Dempsey for an episode of Grey’s Anatomy.

Did you have fun reuniting with Patrick Dempsey, having done a Scream movie together?

CAMPBELL: Yeah, it was really fun! I hadn’t seen him since Scream, so it had been at least a decade. He’s a great guy. They’ve been on that show for nine years, so they definitely know what they’re doing. It was fun to be around a group who have been working together for so long.

Any chance of there being a Scream 5?

CAMPBELL: We’ll see. I’m not sure they’re going to make it, to be honest. If that were to come up again and they were to approach me, I’d have a chat with them about it.

I’ve never jumped on the “Sidcaid” bandwagon, but have to admit Sidney and Kincaid were a sizzling pair in Scream 3 – two characters innately understanding each other’s pain but both too weary to make the leap to love again. Bring back Dempsey for Scream 5! If Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon didn’t kill his career, nothing will.
