Tip your hat to Wes Craven. Like the Scream 4 cast members he’s doing the press rounds, but as director many of the promotional responsibilities are on his shoulders. And he manages to give thoughtful responses to every question. Here are four broached topics in recent interviews that struck us as particularly quote-worthy!

Entertainment Weekly‘s upcoming cover story “the bloody battle for Scream 4″ seemed an odd choice of hyperbole which we now understand should be taken at its most literal. Hitting Friday, the latest issue grants us the most whitewash-free official comments yet on the events leading to Kevin Williamson’s disconnection from all things Scream.

We remember when Scream 4‘s Nico Tortorella revealed he was auditioned with Billy Loomis script pages from the climax of Scream, fans went wild. In a new interview, the actor clarifies why he was asked to go all kitchen crazy to get the job.

The Hollywood Reporter has some news on the lawsuit from almost a year ago which we dubbed Weinsteingate. Thankfully it never impacted the release of Scream 4. At the time, we questioned Weinstein Co’s move to call the suit “baloney”. Now we have the answer.
