The Still Screaming documentary featured on the Scream blu-ray collection was something I personally learned a lot from. Some if you out there might feel stuck in an obsessive Scream 5 hunger loop but hey, here’s some new Scream stuff that’s essential viewing if you crave more details on the production of the trilogy.

Scream 4‘s release in 2011 made that year the peak of Scream‘s resurgence. But what came next? Like the comedown of any high, 2012 was substantially quieter, but not without movement. Premature sequel & TV news, cast & crew Tweets and… an anniversary. Before you look forward you must look back. Or something like that.

Here is the trailer to Dimension Films’ Scary Movie 5, the latest entry in the Scream spoof spinoff franchise. The series appears to be finally getting back on track to its roots, if only as far back as the haunted house-themed Scary Movie 2 – its best sequel to date.
