We all know that a VHS of the movie "Clerks" can been seen under the television at the end of Scream 1, but another Kevin Smith movie -- "Chasing Amy" -- can be seen under the television at Cotton Weary's place during the Scream 3 intro. And Kevin Smith makes a cameo in Scream 3, of course.

I like how the colours Sid is warring in the climax are reminiscent to the clothes she wore in 'Scream 2'.

I like how a poster of 'Troy' (the play where she played cassandra) is on her wall in her house.

And I love that Dewey had a photo of him and Gale in his trailer.

Milton's house was also the boarding school in "Halloween: H2O".

In the huge mansion in the end - when Sidney has run off with Ghostface, Gale and Dewey gets out of their chairs and theres this song that starts playing that is SO "Harry Potter!" LOL. Makes me laugh everytime! Of course this one came out before Harry Potter! But still.

I like how Sid's dog whines and runs off behind a counter when she wakes up screaming from that dream. Like "Hell my owner is nuts. I'm outta here!"

In the studio backlot office, there are photos of the actors and their roles in Stab 3. The photos are probably crew:

* Ghostface #1 with a scary-looking dude
* Innocent Crash Victim
* Computer Geek #1, an actor with the name "Barry Barclay" -- but that's the name of a New Zealand filmmaker
* Hooker
* Obsessive Fan (some kid)
* English Teacher (looks like Winona Ryder! She did go to school at Petaluma High, a small town near Santa Rosa where Woodsboro is supposed to be...)

And then each of the Stab 3 cast we know from Scream 3.

Director Randal Kleiser (most notable for directing Grease, Blue Lagoon and Honey I Shrunk The Kids) owns the house which was used as Jennifer Jolie's home. It was used in other multiple movies, including Hollywood Homicide (with Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett) and Crazy in Alabama (An Antonia Banderas Film, starring Melanie Griffith), among other films and TV shows.

The website for the house even has behind-the-scenes photos (such as setting up the rig model house for the explosion/Tom's death scene, and the decor inside the house), and screencaps from the film! It also shows photos from other films the house was used in!

After killing the celebrity body guard (Patrick Warburton aka Seinfeld's Puddy), Ghostface doesn't take his knife with him, and instead leaves it in his back as we see when a bloody Puddy walks out to the front of the house and falls face first in front of the rest of the cast. The buck knife is right there. But he goes to attack Gale moments after the explosion at the base of the hill, and I guess he has a spare knife.

Wow: Towards the end of the film when Sidney thumbs through the newspaper clippings at Kincaid's office, one of the clippings references the COLUMBINE HIGH SCHOOL killings. We all know that the blood was toned down for this third installment because of the killings, but I had no idea they were actually referenced in the film.

They included a REAL letter to the editor which reads --

To the Editor: In the wake of the tragedy at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colo. (front page, April 23), many commentators have made the point that overall rates for youth homicide have declined. Their larger point is that Littleton and other recent school shootings should not be interpreted as a critical increase in violence among youth.

(the next part is highlighted by Kincaid):

I suggest that the recent killings represent an increase in violence of a qualitatively different type. Past homicide statistics were inflated by turf battles among gangs, which is violence in the service of a particular social subculture.

It goes on and on, but I can't figure out what Kincaid's reasoning for highlighting the section would be. The original, real N.Y. Times letter to the editor is online at:

http://www.nytimes.com/1999/04/24/opini ... 80873.html

ANOTHER article is titled something like "Apparent Motive in Woodsboro Second Murder" but if you look at the actual text of the article is about Hong Kong financial institutions and someone named Zhou Guanwu. Guess the prop department ran out of time, ha ha.

Now I'm going to have to pay more attention to that scene more. Either I remembered and forgot or just haven't paid that much attention. ha ha

In the opening, after Cotton gets home, he walks around his house as an episode of his talk show is playing, discussing the topic of road rage and aggressive drivers, which is kind of ironic because of how aggressive he'd been driving while trying to get home :lol: I just realized that when I watched it last and thought it was funny.

When Sara Darling (Jenny McCarthy) enters Roman's office, you can see a skeleton head on his door. It's a little hint, that Roman is the killer in Scream 3.

Dewey's limp is worse in Scream 3 than it was in Scream 2? also Gale has changed personality again, and when Ghostface attacks Sidney in her house replica set (from the first film) it turns out to be a similar pattern Ghostface comes out of the closet tries to attack Sidney he misses then gets the knife stuck in the door and then chases her up the stairs (like the first film)
