Hey

I got my Scarecrow Ghost Face yesterday (horrible story to go along with it!) and I love it. But I have noticed a few things about it. For one, it really stinks! The smell actually makes me nearly vomit. And also, it is quite small! Even though it says One Size Fits Most I can't close over the top velcro whatcha-ma-bob - even though I have a small head lol !

I also noticed it looks different to the promotional image picture, it looks better and it kinda reminds me of the Scream 3 style masks for some reason :/

Posts your thoughts and if you have one some images :D I'll post some later when I get a chance :D

Yeah, I got mine and that smell is pretty dire. Also, you can see some of the glue through the stitching.

The top bit of velro doesn't fit over my head either, if I try the hard inside of the mask really hurts my nose.

I do love it though. Was anyone else as retarded as I was, thinking they had just used a basic latex mask and covered it in material?

It is made out of the same material that many scarecrow Halloween decorations are made of.

Looking at pictures of the scarecrow mask, it DOES look really cool. I bought it about two weeks or so ago and have the same problems. Strange smell, extremely uncomfortable, and worst off all you can see the glue and molding through the stitching of the scarecrow material. Also, the triangular flaps around the hood don't stick out as well as they do in the pictures.

I wish it was like Omegabetazeta thought and they just put the scarecrow material around latex

Keeping it though because you never know, they could be a limited release and be rare/worth a lot someday.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with these problems. Phew! Yeah, I can see the glue too on the sides and some of it through the burlap. I noticed the triangular flaps too, although I prefer it the way it is - I was never crazy about the promotional pictures anyway. Other than that I love it!

Np ;)

I've just posted the links as I haven't the time to resize.

It's a good mask, I like it and they do have their flaws but I don't care. If you notice on the left of mine you can clearly see the glue in some shots and also, there is a little triangle shape under the right eye that was covered fully however I like this makes it 'unique' :P

Honestly, for all it's flaws it is still amazing and they probably cost quite a bit to produce yet mine only cost £6.50. It's totally worth it.

ok. well here is my walmart costume.

here is the bag (19 flipping dollars!)
Image

here is the costume with belt, gloves, and of course the mask
Image

here is the mask (with some glue showing)
Image

my mask does not have a "straight" mouth. instead it has the curve just like the latex one.
Image

here is what the mask looks like on me in bright daylight (simulated by the flash on my phone)
Image

here is the mask in a dark enviorment
Image

and here is the inside of the mask. (there is no foam insert, the mask is very big and i have a large head, and it feels comfortable.
Image

does anyone else here have this version of the costume? all i have seen is the ones with straight mouths. and do you guys have any tips on how to mod the mask so it is less bulky?

Mine has the straight mouth. The inside is brown and the mouth isn't shiny like yours either. My head isn't particularly big but I can't fasten in properly without severe discomfort on my forehead and nose. As much as I love these masks, its clear that very little effort has been put into making them.

See, it annoys me because I think some real effort, imagination wise, was really there, but there is no excuse for glue sticking out everywhere and actual pain when wearing!

It is sad when you see such a great mask as suck that has bad craftsmanship. The Scarecrow Ghost Face masks that I have seen looked in really great shape. However obviously there are those case in which the mask doesn't look so great.

I think it does look good. I think why you can see so much of the glue is that the hood is rooled back from the face. In that case of course you are going to see some glue. Can't beat the price for that matter either.

Both my Scarecrows differed too,on one of them the eyes looked more like KNB eyes because you couldnt see much apart from two small slits,(Think the glue either wasnt in the eyes or wore off) but on both masks the chins ARE curved, but not shiny like this one on the mouth.
